About Janson Coffee

Janson Coffee is a family-owned coffee producer with roots dating back to 1926, when Carl Axel Janson left Sweden and settled in Volcán, Chiriquí, Panama. Initially established as an agricultural enterprise, the family later recognized the region's potential for specialty coffee cultivation.

In 1990, the Janson family officially founded Janson Coffee, building on Carl's passion for hard work, quality, and respect for the land. Today, the family continues its legacy across generations, producing exceptional specialty coffees, including the renowned Panamanian Geisha.

Located on the slopes of the Barú and Tisingal volcanoes, the family's farms benefit from the unique climate and rich terroir of Panama's highlands. Combining careful lot selection, traditional craftsmanship, and modern processing techniques, Janson Coffee remains committed to quality and environmental sustainability.
